• 67% of employees aged 16-24 are experiencing anxiety.
• 65% of females are experiencing anxiety.
• Only 10% of employees are seeking mental health support*
Anxiety in Relationship Systems
Energy is contagious. If you think of a time during a group setting where you took on the mood of others, you’ll be able to relate to this statement.
If there’s anxious energy present in a team, it’s likely to spread and increase, affecting the whole system.
Teams are inundated with information. This allows a lot of projection and alongside anxiety, a lot of worst-case scenario dreaming.
If a team’s leader or manager is off-loading and layering even more information into the mix, this will further exacerbate the already present anxiety.
With an anxious team, a lot of time is going to be spent on collectively worrying about negative outcomes, which affects performance, efficiency, and ability.
Anxiety in systems will show up through conflict, low mood/motivation, lower productivity and low quality of work.
Coaching & Anxiety
Coaching, (whether that’s individual, team or relationship) is a practice that works on bringing focus back to the present moment to manifest the results we want. In psychology we refer to manifestation as using our thoughts, feelings, and beliefs to bring something to our physical reality.
The role of a coach is to help individuals, couples, or teams to shift their focus, align on a goal and take action to achieve it.
Coaching creates a safe space for people to have an open conversation to support people in their journey towards delivering results.
ORSC & Anxiety
ORSC tools are designed to help identify a system’s strengths and obstacles, as well as its potential for growth. This process of developing a system’s self-awareness is what we call “revealing a system to itself”. Through this self-awareness, systems will be able to notice the presence of anxiety.
Using ORSC tools and skills, a system will be able to identify the source of their anxiety and work together to move past and reduce the presence of anxiety.
